EDIT: AMG I JUST TYPED THAT WHOLE FREAKIN STORY AND IT DOESN'T SHOW UP?! D: lemme type it... again... TT_TT

EDIT AGAIN: I got the story back up. xD I retyped it. YAY ME

Title is from the song "Hurt" by Thousand Foot Krutch. :) Look it up, it's an awesome song. xD
So yeah, last minute contest entry to :iconwarriors-less-loved: :iconyayzplz:
The theme was to draw a frequently drawn warrior (I chose Jayfeather) and a less loved warrior (I chose Willowshine) and design their kits! :dummy: so yeah, I know, this isn't a very creative pairing, but I wanted to draw them, and I wrote a story too. xD YAY! :dummy: lol. xD (Dun' kill me JayxCinder fans, I'm still a die-hard Jayfeather+Cinderheart person! XD)

Featherkit/paw/shine: Black she-kit bearing a very close resemblance to Crowfeather, with dark blue eyes. She has very soft fur, and has small vision problems. She's very quiet and gentle, and likes to visit Jayfeather in the medicine den.

Stormkit/paw/breeze: Light brown tom with silver paws, tail-tip, and ears. He has blue eyes. Stormkit is the most energetic kit in the nursery, and likes to play-fight with the other RiverClan kits. Despite his eagerness to fight, he's very kind.

Hope I place, I'm quite proud of this! ^^

Anywayyyy:
Story that goes with this:

(If you don't read warriors, this story is going to be very... very... weird... xD)

Drop The Ball, Watch It Fall
A JayxWillow fan-fic by xKat-chanx :)

Jayfeather walked over to the edge of the lake and tasted the air. Where was Willowshine? He sighed. At the gathering, she had asked him to meet her by the lakeside on the RiverClan-WindClan border at moonrise. Jayfeather told his Clan that he was going to the moonpool. Another lie. He sighed again. Jayfeather didn't want to be like his mother, Leafpool, sneaking around, having a forbidden mate... he and Willowshine used to hate each other, but after some time passed, they began to love... snap... Jayfeather lifted his head and tasted the air again. Willowshine was here. "Jayfeather?" Jayfeather ran towards her voice and brushed his muzzle against hers. "Is everything okay, love?" He whispered. He knew she was expecting kits. Willowshine looked down and nudged something. A small body brushed against Jayfeather, soft as a feather. He gasped. Willowshine must've had her kits already. Jayfeather knew he couldn't hide from this forever. He heard a mew next to Willowshine. Two kits. he thought. "I want you to have the one next to you... to have a piece of me." Sadness coated her voice, and waves of depression were coming off of her. "What are their names?" Jayfeather asked, choking down a cry.
"I haven't named them yet. I wanted you to help me name them."
Suddenly, Jayfeather's world lit up. He could see, he was in a vision. He looked down, and saw the kit that had brushed his leg look up at him. It was a she-kit. She looked exactly like Crowfeather... Jayfeather let out a low growl to himself. Crowfeather lived in this kit. His daughter. He looked over to Willowshine, where a small tom was sitting next to her. It was light brown, with silver paws, tail-tip, and ear-tips, and deep blue eyes. He looked back at his kit, which batted at him, then blackness pressed against him again. Jayfeather turned his sightless gaze to Willowshine. "I want this one to be named Featherkit. She's very soft, and I can tell she has a gentle spirit. And I want her to have part of my name... He thought, and somewhere, deep down, he wanted her to have part of Crowfeather with her, too. Willowshine nuzzled her son next to her. "This one will be Stormkit then. Even though he was only born this claw-moon, he's already very energetic, and he loves to play-fight with me." She looked up at Jayfeather. "Will you take care of Featherkit?" Pain stabbed Jayfeather right in his heart. "Of course. I'll always remember you everytime I look at her. And... Stormkit... can you..."
"Jayfeather, you know he can never see you again after this." Jayfeather looked down with agony weighing him down. "I know." Is this what it feels like, to never be able to see your son...? Willowshine walked over to Jayfeather, and he pressed against her. "I'll always see your eyes in him though... I guess this is our last meeting..." Willowshine sighed. Jayfeather choked down another cry. "I guess so. I'll miss you, and I'll always love you, never forget that." Willowshine stared down. "Promise me you'll never forget." He pleaded. He could feel Willowshine's gaze pierce him. "I promise. I love you too." She pressed her muzzle to his one last time, stood up, and walked over to pick up Stormkit. Jayfeather turned around and gently lifted Featherkit by her scruff. Jayfeather turned, and tears filling both cats' eyes, they walked away.
